1966 Ford Falcon Futura Sports Coupe

As you saw in my projects page, i have a 1966 Falcon Futura Sports Coupe. I burnt the N50-15s off and now have 295/50/15s in their place. Since it is now almost summer i have been driving it around. I took it to our show in Castlegar, BC and i brought home second place in the "work in progress" category! I did not enter to win nor did i expect to but...
Ill be snapping a few shots of my car as i drive it around this summer to shows and trying to avoid stunting tickets ;) The details of my drivetrain are as follows:
Line bored cam and crank journals, cylinders bored .030 over, TRW 10:01 pistons, polished crank, Mellings high volume oil pump, Cam Dynamics mild camshaft (dont remember the specs), Carter AFB 625 carburetor (junk!), stock points distributor with a Pertronix Ignitor, World Products "Windsor" heads with 202/160 valves and 64cc heart shaped combustion chambers. Crane gold roller rockers, hardened push rods and new guide plates. Headman headers go back to 2.5" stainless exhaust pipes and welded mufflers and then out the back. Stock C4 transmssion, Ford 8" rear with 3:55 gears and a spool but not a locker.

The plan is: new carpet, headliner repair and new pkg tray( rear dash). If all goes well i might redo the front seats, put some new window cranks on it and i hope to find a good dashpad somewhere. Any leads would be appreciated! Also looking for a good windshield, and i finally found ONE company that sells rear quarter panels but if you know of anyone else besides JC Whitney.. please let me know because 20 guage steel is for pansies! I blew the C4 6 days before the insurance ran out so i took the FMX out of the purple truck and installed it along with a new Autometer tach, Pioneer deck and 6x9 speakers.

1968 Plymouth Barracuda

This car has an interesting story also. I bought it from a local guy named Mike, he used to race it down in Spokane years ago. It came from the west coast around the very early 80s and it was very rusty from backing a boat into the ocean regularly. It changed hands a few times, it was originally a 318/auto with a floor console and buckets. While Mike owned it he modified it for accomidate a big block. He had a 440/4spd and a 400/auto in it and was turning 14 second times in the quarter mile with big time traction issues. I bought the car with no engine or tranny in it, installed a 440/auto from a 71 Imperial and proceeded to install a 3:91 Sure Grip, turbine rims, L50-15s on the back and 215/50/15s on the front and sidepipes! The car has a 66 Coronet 8 3/4 rear diffrential, a 75 Dart dash, front seat, and wiring harness for the dash and engine compartment. I was very lucky to find a 240km/h speedometer cluster (about 150mph) and it is going to get some paint to make it look good until its turn for a full restoration. I will be buying a new carpet and doing some interior work also. This car is a lot of fun, i might stick a cam and timing set in it but it already lights up the tires in the first two gears!

I just replaced the 727 automatic transmission with an A-833 4spd! Ever seen a fish do the twist? In spite of some highway travelling ive also replaced the 3.91 gears with a 3.23 sure grip.

1968 Ford Mustang GT

I stumbled across this car while cruising the industrial area in southern Alberta. I had actually bought the 70 Stang coupe (project cars site) and was waiting a few hours to go pick it up when i spotted this one. Ive got a top 3 favorite cars and this one is #2 so i had to have it. Eventually i found the owner and we discussed a price, and so i brought 2 mustangs home that weekend! Its an original 390 GT (330hp)  with a C6 automatic transmission. The guy who had it already rebuilt the engine, tranny and rear end. Feels like its got a shift kit in it, and probably 3.50 gears but a one wheeler. Its been painted once already, theres a couple tiny holes on the one rear wheel well and some rust in the front floors. I put a 2 day permit on it to get a feel for it and man is it fun! Should be driving it around this summer with new floors, a better hood hopefully i can find a factory scoop and a detroit locker.
